Anna Rafferty is Global Director: Digital Marketing, Digital Studios at BBC Studios. She is tasked with running the digital marketing portfolio, leading the company’s short-form and social content production unit BBCS Digital Studios which makes digital-first video, audio, AR and AI content, driving the corporation’s reputation for digital innovation and editorially seeking and developing new IP, with the intention of launching new global brands.
She joined BBC Studios from Pottermore, J.K. Rowling’s digital entertainment company where she was Director of Product, Content and Creative and part of the launch teams for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the Fantastic Beasts’ franchise. Prior to Pottermore, Rafferty spent 11 years at Penguin Books where she was Digital and Audio MD. She is on the board of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, Ravensbourne Media Advisory Board and is Chair of digital arts and heritage charity Culture24.
