Ashley began his career in advertising at Carat (UK) as a media planner/buyer. In 1998, he became Sales Controller for Talk Radio and went on to be Group Managing Director (ILR) and then Managing Director of Impact, the wholly owned national sales house for The Wireless Group. In 2008, Ashley founded Base79, a leading MCN’s globally. Base79’s technology and global network created a generation of new, safe and powerful revenue opportunities for its content partners and creators from Youtube, Facebook and social video platforms around the world. He sold the business to Rightster Group Plc for $85mn in 2014. He returned to the business in November 2015 and served as CEO of Brave Bison Group Plc (formerly Rightster Group Plc) turning the company from heavy losses to profitability. In 2017, Ashley started Fenestra to deliver transparency and improved performance to the global ad. market where he serves as Founder & CEO.
